Grafton Entertainment has announced the sixth edition of the Amanyanabo Football Tournament in celebration of the 30th coronation anniversary of the King of Bonny Kingdom, Rivers State.

The tournament, to be held in Bonny Kingdom, will feature a revamped Under-18 format with an expanded 20-team lineup, giving young footballers a platform to showcase their talents and attract scouts.

The competition was established at the monarch’s initiative to promote youth development and expose emerging football talents in the area. Having played football as a youth, the King created the annual tourney to empower young people and support football development in Bonny Kingdom.

The event is sponsored by Nigeria LNG Limited and organised by Grafton Entertainment, with support from the Bonny Local Government Council.

Under the new format, eight teams will battle in playoffs on November 14 and 15, 2026, for the four remaining slots in the main tournament. The four qualifiers will join 12 seeded teams when the main competition kicks off on November 28, while the final is slated for December 13, 2026.

According to the organisers, local and international football scouts have been confirmed to attend the tournament, offering players the chance to showcase their skills and pursue professional careers.
